Mass is the amount of matter in a substance.
Weight is the measure of how a gravitational force acts on mass.

Weight can be zero in the absence of gravity but mass can never be zero.

Mass is measured in Kilogrammes and Weight in Newtons.

Mass is a scalar quantity with magnitude.
Weight is a vector quantity with magnitude and direction
